Future East Festival is a contemporary music and new media art festival. This platform is designed to present electro-acoustic, electronic, and explorative music and audio-visual performances.

Story

Founded in 2020,
Future East has consistently worked with various co-curators and
event planners on themes such as Re-emerge, Integration, and Anthesis and extension in 2024. 

In 2025, Future East is taking on a new form. Traditionally, the festival takes place in October, but it is unfolding as a decentralized series of events across Berlin. One of the highlights is Club Future East at the OHM.

Future East 2020

In 2020, in the time of pandemic, it combined nature and architecture, it showcase 6 Audio-visual Concert in 360 environment featuring 6 female Artists, created in The Grabowsee sanatorium, a former lung sanatorium on Grabowsee in the Oberhavel district in Brandenburg. And an online virtual reality space made on a Mozilla environment for interaction, chat and listening to the music played in a festival for 30 audience. 

Future East 2021

Future East expanded to include both in-person and online events, in October2021, planned two days Festival a a club night and shortly after in December lockdownwas offering immersive virtual A/V spaces.

Future East 2022

In 2022 future east organized a dance one night event at Musikbrauerei included a live act and 10 Djs. 

Future East 2023

In 2023 Future East organized more than 6 Club night calls “Future Goes Late” in variouse clubs such as Aeden, OXI, Remise and Mensch Meire, in Berlin  festival 2023 happened in 20/21 OCT, a two-day indoor FESTIVAL that combines music with visual arts, new media arts, and performing arts, it presented a cultural fusion of

innovative audio-visual feast between the collision of tradition and modernity, included 10 live concert a performance illuminated by live music ,and 10 dj for their after party.

Future East 2024

24-26 Oct 2024

one-day workshop on live coding for music creation, followed by two live performances.

A two-day festival showcasing over 12 live performances, complemented by two after-party clubnights featuring more than 20 artists. The festival  collaborated on clubnights with other collectives such as AN(8)X ,KUDUR, and KWIA.

Future East 2025 – 2026

In 2025, Future East is taking on a new form. Traditionally held in October, since this year the festival unfolds as a decentralized series of events across Berlin. One of the highlights is Club Future East at OHM.
